Singer Jose Chameleone who is set to stage his Tubonge Concert today at Lugogo Cricket oval is not in Uganda Revenue Authority’s good books.
This week on Tuesday, URA officials said that the authority is demanding 42 million shillings from the ‘Tubonge’ singer. This is because Chameleone has not been submitting his monthly incomes to the authority for the last 2 years.
Chameleone revealed to scoop that he didn’t know that URA fined him 200,000shs for every month that he didn’t pay taxes. The singer cleared close to half of the money and promised to clear the rest after his concert. Today, URA officials cordoned off the Venue and had a discussion with Chameleone. “They almost took my car” he revealed to our reporter. But the officials came to a consensus with the Tubonge singer and left.
We hope the concert is not blocked by the authority which impounded Iryn Namubiru’s car last year at Hotel Africana during her album launch.
