African Bible University at Lubowa, off Entebbe road has lately become the home training facility for the national football team, the Uganda Cranes.

However, yesterday was a nightmare for the team as they were bounced off the facility. The team had assembled for their day-two training session as they continue with preparations for the forthcoming African Nations Champion (CHAN) that is due in Kigali, Rwanda this month.

Coach Milutin ‘Micho’ Sredojevic and his team were bounced off the training facility at the African Bible University over claims that ‘Sunday is a special day for resting’ and therefore no work can be done there on such a day.

A witness at the scene described the national team as stranded for a moment during the incident before they set off in batches to Muteesa II Memorial stadium in Wankulukuku where they had their training.

Being an unexpected guest at the alternative venue, it was never going to be easy for the team to just pave their way on the facility which had been scheduled to have other sporting activities but after few discussions, the team was allowed to train there.
