Musician Jose Chameleone may not attend the Mega fest in Masaka even after he was paid due to new revelations.
News on our desks has it that Chameleone who allegedly assaulted a business man called Ssali in Masaka days ago is being hunted by police. We have been told that Police has now set a trap for him so that they can arrest him at the Mega fest where he is expected to perform alongside a Jamaican artiste.
According to reports, the singers along with their crews attacked Ssali who was in Club Ambiance – Masaka to have a good time. “They beat him up and left him for dead along with their Lipanda crew,” said a source.
It is said that Chameleone in the company of his brother Pius Mayanja caused commotion in the club at around 3am and ended up beating Ssali to pulp.
According to sources, when Chameleone and his gang entered the club, they acted like they owned the place and when Ssali tried to talk to them for invading his space, they pounced on him and beat him up. Chameleone and the crew were banned from the club until further notice.
Police in Masaka summoned the singers to make statements about the matter but they have refused to show up.
Sources have it that he might snub the Mega fest in order to save himself from arrest.
