Following news that Ugandan singer Bebe Cool could be named on the next cabinet, other musicians have tried to position themselves as the best candidates for a government job when the next couple of appointments are being made.

One of these musicians is Maro who shared his two pence on what he would do if he is given a government position, say a ministerial post.

For Maro, it will be more about music and making Ugandans love their own.

“I would penetrate people’s brains and tell them to be more patriotic, especially those who prefer international music to local,” he commented when asked about what he would do to change the Ugandan music industry if he had a position in government.

“I would make sure they promote Ugandan music first,” the former Vocal Police boss said.

We will keep you posted.
