Former NTV news anchor Rosemary Nankabirwa passed on Sunday after losing the battle to cancer and condolence messages have since been trickling from former co-workers and well-wishers. Renowned media personality Roger Mugisha also took time to share a touching farewell message to the fallen news anchor.

Here’s what Roger Mugisha posted:

“I am imagining a scenario where you are a student in a foreign country and after a few visits to the GP (doctor), you are told that you have a terminal illness and that you have at most 8 weeks to die! What would you do? Do you fundraise, fly back home, make peace with God and family, or make media fodder? I can understand when one decides to be quiet about it and choses to be surrounded by those that love you unconditionally. Farewell thee pretty smile you were a television Gem.”
