Not anymore, not any longer, the Big Three made way for the Big Four, now the Big Four has transformed into The BIG FIVE.
Gone were the days when Ugandan music was all about the BBC clan of Bebe Cool, Bobi Wine and Chameleone. It now comprises five artistes.
When The Goodlyfe duo made it, BBC added a fourth letter. We are now glad to announce that it’s the big five. We now have the top five music artistes that run Uganda’s entertainment industry.
This is how the rankings stand at the moment:
1. Eddy Kenzo
At the moment, Eddy Kenzo tops the list. And it seems he’s not about to lose the first position for the rest of the year. He’s carried the Ugandan musical flag higher than anyone in modernity.
2. Radio and Weasel
Again, another surprising twist, the Goodlyfe duo takes the second position. Radio and Weasel have more hits than any music artiste in Uganda this year so far. However, they may lose the position to the next artiste in line.
3. Bebe Cool
4. Bobi Wine
5. Chameleone
That’s how the list stands. We can’t wait for it to grow to the big ten. And have women make part of that list.
