Sensational Ugandan singer Azawi recently shed light on the behind-the-scenes process of teaming up with Jamaican dancehall artist Konshens for their collaborative hit, “Summar Bae.”
The track, released three months ago as part of Azawi’s ‘Sankofa’ album, has quickly become a favorite among music enthusiasts worldwide.
Azawi revealed that the collaboration began when she reached out to Konshens with the demo for “Summar Bae.”
The Jamaican artist’s enthusiastic response was immediate. “When I sent him the song track, he told me he was going to f*ck with it,” Azawi shared on a local TV, highlighting Konshens’s positive reception to the demo.
Notably, the visuals for “Summar Bae” were shot in December 2023, coinciding with Konshens’s visit to Uganda. The collaboration not only brought together two diverse musical talents but also allowed for the creation of a vibrant and visually appealing music video.
As “Summar Bae” continues to gain traction, amassing a substantial number of listenership, streams, and views worldwide, fans eagerly await the official video premiere scheduled for Friday, February 2, 2024.
