Information reaching our desk indicates that famous photographer Haruna of Access Films has threatened to take a further step in search of his property which was stolen at club Amnesia last week on June 8th.
Haruna is ready to file a case against the club and its bouncer only identified as Kassim whom he claims is responsible for his lost property worth millions.
“I had two events on Wednesday 8th June 2016. One was a Kasiki at a groom’s home which had an after party at Club Amnesia, another was a Birthday dinner for a client called Sandra in Muyenga at Terraces. After the Kasiki at a groom’s home, I went to Muyenga to shoot the birthday dinner, from the dinner, it was about 1AM Thursday morning, drove to Amnesia and reached at around 1:15AM.
I reached the entrance, told the bouncer (Kassim) that I had a Kasiki shoot in the CLUB. He then told me, I’m late, he’s seen other photographers in already, and he doesn’t know me. I told him, it his boss and people who work here know me, he then said, if you want to enter by force, Call my BOSS. I didn’t call him, I lifted my back bag, made a step to the CLUB and in just a flash, the guy pulled me by my back bag, I don’t know where he put it, he started punching me down till when he took me to a point where the club’s CCTV camera can’t see, he strangled me and when I started shouting, MY BAG!!! He immediately left me and started looking for a bag.
We went to the club’s CCTV camera footage, we observed that nothing was captured. What was captured was when I was entering the CLUB, and him pulling me by force. I never refused to be checked, I never refused because I shoot in clubs and I know the rules of club especially with the kind of work I do. Kassim and the CLUB at large know where my lost bag is.
The Bag had a Nikon Camera D610 with its lenses (50mm, 18-200mm), an external flash gun, a MacBook laptop 13′ i5 (1TB hard drive in it), a windows laptop 15′ (500GB hard drive in it), two hard drives (1TB and 500GB) having most of My works, my Ugandan passport, a white MiFi router, and my cables, they all got lost when he was beating me.”
