Ugandan legendary singer Halima Namakula recently expressed her admiration for fellow artist Sheebah, stating that if Sheebah had been around during her time, she would have claimed that Sheebah copied her style.

“Everything she does is what I used to do. I love her because I see myself in her,” Namakula said during her interview on Sanyuka TV.

Namakula, a prominent figure in the early 2000s music scene, is known for hit songs such as “Ekimbeewo,” “Sambagala Nsanyuke” featuring Bebe Cool, and “Tonkutulakutula.”

Her influence on the Ugandan entertainment industry is significant, and she is recognized as a mentor to many successful artists, including Rema Namakula, Rachel K, and Iryn Namubiru.
