Uganda’s guitar maestro Myko Ouma is set to serenade jazz fans in Rwanda this week. Myko Ouma will be the headlining act at the Kigali Jazz Junction slated for this Friday, 27th May at Kigali Serena Hotel.
Although Myko Ouma has performed in Rwanda before, its the first time he will be staging his own set. The guitarist has revealed that his composition will be a bit of traditional jazz, instrumental pop and a blend of folk tradition.
Ouma who is very upbeat about the upcoming show further revealed that he will travel with Ugandan vocalist and pianist Steve Keys, with whom he will serenade jazz fans in Rwanda.
Meanwhile, the Kigali Jazz junction has in the past also been headlined by another Ugandan musician, the soulful Maurice Kirya.
Kigali Jazz function is a monthly live music show in Rwanda that brings together local bands and musicians to showcase their talent.
