As match day three of the 2015 AFCON qualifiers draws closer, some West African countries will continue to play their home games on neutral grounds. The countries to host their home games on neutral ground will be Guinea Bissau of group E and Sierra Leone of group D.
In an attempt to cut the dissipated spread of the lethal Ebola virus, CAF ordered that the two nations can’t host matches and competitions on their territorial grounds until further notice.
“Guinea and Sierra Leone will host their Day Three matches of the Orange Africa Cup of Nations Morocco 2015 qualifiers in Casablanca (Morocco) and Yaounde (Cameroon)”, reads part of the official statement on the federation’s website.
“Guinea will face Ghana in their Group E clash on Saturday, 11 October 2014 at the Mohamed V Complex in Casablanca at 20H00 (local time), whilst the Group D clash between Sierra Leone and Cameroon will take place on Friday, 10 October 2014, at the Ahmadou Ahidjo Stadium in Yaounde at 15H00 (local time)”, CAFOnline.com further stated.
Guinea Bissau in their earlier match hosted Togo in Casablanca whereas Sierra Leone played host to DR Congo in Lubumbashi in September.
