Gucci Mane has been sentenced to 39 months behind bars in his federal firearms case.
The rapper reached a plea agreement for two September 2013 disturbances in which he allegedly threatened police.
A statement from federal prosecutors detailed the incident: “On September 12, 2013, Davis, who was a felon at the time, was found in possession of a firearm.
“Then, just two days later, on September 14, he again possessed a firearm different from the earlier gun. On both occasions, Davis displayed the loaded firearm, acted erratically, and made threats to individuals, including police and his attorney.”
He had been facing a possible $500,000 fine and up to 20 years in prison prior to reaching the plea deal.
Gucci Mane was previously jailed for a battery case in September 2011, and was also arrested in April 2013 for an alleged probation violation.
