Hot new reggae/dancehall act Ceaserous, tipped for Grammy Award success by seasoned music promoter Suudi Lukwago aka Suudiman, makes his official entry onto the Ugandan music scene at a launch party hosted at Asylum Bar and Lounge today, Friday, 20th November.
At the glamorous event at which Ceaserous will be unveiled, Suudiman has also promised a number of special guests will be in attendance as the budding star, real names Solomon Sentongo, performs live at the Kiwatule-based club from 8pm, showcasing his undoubted talent on tracks such as Into You, which is his latest single. The 22-year old is an artiste destined for big things, according to promoter Suudiman.
“People are gonna come and find an artiste they will think has been on stage for 40 years,” says Suudiman, adding, “I see potential in Ceaserous and my prediction is that he can bring a Grammy [Award] home in two years if he stays humble and focused.”
“He is one the most talented artistes I’ve met in the last 10 years, and I have met some very talented artistes,” says Suudiman who indicated that Ceaserous’ humility and devotion to God were the other attributes that motivated him to work with the young artiste.
Ceaserous on his part says he teamed up with Suudiman in order to leverage the latter’s connections and use them to take his music forward.
“I am bringing something fresh to the industry,” says Ceaserous of his works, one of which is a soon to be released track titled Fall In Love. The artiste who says he prefers to sing in a mixture of English and Luganda marries a captivating dancehall tune to an authoritative vocal performance on Into You.
Ceaserous was born in 1993, Solomon Sentongo aka Ceaserous has been doing music professionally for seven years, having started out in 2008 as part of the duo Smash & Ceaserous.
