Singer Grace Sekamatte, a close friend of the late Messe Bontwe, has shared emotional details about his final moments.
According to Grace, Messe left work on Thursday evening, telling his friends he planned to rest at home.
Hours later, his neighbors called Grace and other friends, alerting them to an emergency. Messe was reportedly struggling to breathe.
In a desperate attempt to save his life, Grace and friends arranged for an ambulance and rushed him to the hospital.
Tragically, their efforts were in vain, as Messe was pronounced dead just 20 minutes after arrival.
Messe Bontwe, who had spent the last two years in the United States seeking better opportunities, had recently returned to Uganda.
The funeral arrangements remain uncertain as his family and friends focus on repatriating his body back to Uganda. Further details are expected to be shared in the coming days.
Messe’s untimely death has left friends and family in mourning, with many remembering him as a hardworking and kind-hearted individual.
