As GOtv, Uganda’s leading DTT pay television gears to celebrate 5 years in the Ugandan market, the company has introduced a new payment plan which will enable GOtv Lite subscribers access the bouquet at a low monthly rate of only UGX 5,000, making it the most affordable bouquet in the market.
GOgetters are paying a quarterly fee of UGX 12,000 to access the bouquet but effective August 20th 2016, subscribers will have the option of accessing the bouquet through a monthly subscription as well.
While making the announcement at Hotel Africana during a press conference, GOtv General Manager, Patricia Kiconco expressed her excitement about the price subsidy.
“As a leading Pay TV brand, GOtv endeavours to give subscribers the best services on the market which are affordable. Subscribers can now access ‘GOtv Lite’ by paying a subscription fee of only UGX 5,000 shillings monthly rather than before when the bouquet was only accessible on a quarterly basis at UGX 12,000,” She said.
“The timing couldn’t be any better as GOtv prepares to celebrate 5 years in the Ugandan market. Go getters can now have access to affordable entertainment with quality programming through a vast selection of our own local channels including Faith and Islamic Channels, and international channels such as SS Blitz that shows the latest news from the sporting world. This development makes GOtv Lite the most affordable package on the market” She continued.
Hardware kits are available at all GOtv service centres and agents countrywide at a fee of UGX 87,500. The package is inclusive of a decoder and an antenna and comes with one month free of GOtv Plus subscription. Upon expiry, subscribers have the option of accessing continued diverse entertainment on any of the three available bouquets of GOtv Plus, GOtv Value and GOtv Lite bouquets at UGx 28,000, UGX 16,000 and UGX 5000 respectively.
