Golola Talent Academy students, Baako Joyce and Emoku Martin, under the stewardship of motor-mouthed kickboxer Golola Moses, recently went to Kenya to represent Uganda in the “Kenya Karate-do Goju-kai” competition where they emerged victorious, bringing home gold and silver medals.
Baako Joyce won gold in the women’s ties after beating a Tanzanian in the Kumite category and Emoku Martin scooped a silver medal in the men’s category. They presented their medals to the media at a press conference held on Tuesday.
When asked how they felt after winning the medals, they said that fighting is at heart and they fight because it’s a passion and winning is part of their program.
“The objective of the Golola Talent academy is to search and promote talent, we don’t want to disorganize any association but this is what we do and these are the fruits we bore from the academy and I call upon the government to always support us because it’s our country we are representing,” Golola also said.
