Uganda’s music lovers have something to rejoice about today as the first single off the highly anticipated #SwangzAllStarAlbum has finally dropped. The song, titled “God Ye Buddy,” is a powerful gospel track that brings together an incredible lineup of some of Uganda’s top artists: Levixone, Azawi, Vinka, Elijah Kitaka, Zafaran, and Winnie Nwagi. The track is produced by the talented Bangar Boi and mixed by Steve Keys.
“God Ye Buddy” is a celebration of faith, friendship, and the ever-present love of God. As the song is a gospel track, Marvin could think of no better place than the Munyonyo Martyrs Shrine Church to create the spiritual and uplifting atmosphere that the song demands. This album, which has been in the works as part of the Swangz Creative Camp in Zanzibar, is poised to be a landmark project for Swangz Avenue, featuring a diverse collection of East African talent.
