Uganda’s music lovers have something to rejoice about today as the first single off the highly anticipated #SwangzAllStarAlbum has finally dropped. The song, titled “God Ye Buddy,” is a powerful gospel track that brings together an incredible lineup of some of Uganda’s top artists: Levixone, Azawi, Vinka, Elijah Kitaka, Zafaran, and Winnie Nwagi. The track is produced by the talented Bangar Boi and mixed by Steve Keys.
“God Ye Buddy” is a celebration of faith, friendship, and the ever-present love of God. The artists beautifully come together to express how God is not just their guide, but their best friend who is always there for them in every aspect of life. The message of hope and gratitude resonates throughout the song, which is already striking a chord with audiences.
The music video, directed by the talented Marvin Musoke, was shot in Munyonyo. As the song is a gospel track, Marvin could think of no better place than the Munyonyo Martyrs Shrine Church to create the spiritual and uplifting atmosphere that the song demands. The visuals bring to life the essence of the song with powerful imagery of the artists performing in the serene and sacred space of the church, adding to the divine feel of the track.
In the video, the artists are seen dressed in white outfits, symbolizing holiness and purity. Their immaculate appearance further emphasizes the song’s message, as they visually convey an aura of grace and devotion. The styling and visuals are on point, creating a stunning aesthetic that makes “God Ye Buddy” a must-watch.
