Veteran Ugandan rapper GNL Zamba has issued a bold statement to event promoters—if they want to book him for shows, especially in distant locations, they should be ready to provide a helicopter or simply not bother reaching out.

The Baboon Forest founder, who recently returned to Uganda with a mission to breathe new life into the local Hip Hop scene, revealed that while many promoters have approached him, his performance fee and rider demands have filtered out the unserious ones.
“I also have my demands when hiring me. For long distances, I decided I want a helicopter to take me because I don’t want to be late and not return in time to play with my son,” GNL stated.
He explained that his request is rooted in practicality and personal priorities.
With airstrips now available in most parts of the country, the rapper believes his demand is not only reasonable but reflective of his growth and status in the industry.
“I think I’m mature and deserve such treatment,” he added.
