Gloria Bugie Dismisses Ugandan Music Awards, Aims for Grammys

Fast-rising Ugandan singer Gloria Bugie has strongly criticized local music awards after failing to receive a nomination at the 2024 Zzina Awards.

In a bold statement, she expressed her frustration, saying, “Fck all the Ugandan musical awards. My music will speak for itself. We will wait for the Grammys.”

Gloria Bugie has been one of the standout new artists of 2024.

Her hit song Nyash dominated music charts, making her a fan favorite.

Despite her success, she was not included in the nominations for the Zzina Awards, which recognize outstanding Ugandan musicians.

Many of her fans have supported her stance, arguing that she deserved recognition.

Others, however, believe that local awards remain an important platform for promoting homegrown talent.

Gloria Bugie Put Her Law Studies on Hold for Music

As Gloria Bugie continues to rise in the industry, her focus now appears to be on gaining international recognition.

Whether she will achieve her dream of winning a Grammy remains to be seen, but her confidence and determination are undeniable.
