Weeks after The Money Team Africa boss, Cameroon Gitawo also known as Mbibo donated scholastic materials, school fees and cash to the Sitya Loss Kids, the money bags has done it again.
This time Mbibo donated 1,500,000shs for a video to be shot in honour of one of their departed dancers, Alex Ssempijja who died in December last year in a nasty bike accident.
Mbibo through Jah Live handed over 1,500,000shs million to the Sitya Loss kids today. He was represented by Asha Kaaja, a manager at Jah Live.
David Kavuma who manages the Sitya Loss dancers was very happy to receive the money. He praised Gitawo for his philanthropic nature.
“I want to thank Gitawo for this donation. He has done us good and we shall not disappoint. Alex Ssempija (RIP) used to love what he did. He was a good dancer and this is why he was very popular at such a young age. We want to do a tribute for him that is worth it. We shall also use this opportunity to showcase some of the best dance moves that Alex was known for so that his memory lives on,” David said.
Gitawo who started a charity recently was also supported by the church when he was growing up. Gitawo didn’t have a lot of money at the start like he has now. He says that he got a scholarship while he was at St. Angelican in Johannesburg. The church also gave him teachings in motivational speech. He then worked with different charity groups and became a philanthropist there after.
We will keep you posted.
