A song to out compete Kuzaala Kujagaana by Irene Namatovu is here. It’s by a Germany based Ugandan singer Irene Nabbosa Kroger aka INK titled ‘Ennyonyi enkeeze'( Etafali).
The singer jetted into the country a few weeks ago to give an extra push to her music and since her stay, she has worked on a couple projects.
One of the musicians that have been in a state of unrest following her return is her namesake Irene Namatovu of the popular hit Kuzaala kujagaana after INK beat her to the first performance at the Kabaka’s birthday.
The wonder girl was called on stage while the Ekitibwa kya’Buganda song was being sang and immediately after, her song was sampled and sounded close to that of Namatovu. This raised the laters’ eyebrows and she later on had to confront her face to face.
INK’s song rhymes closely to that of Irene Namatovu but a totally different message is being sent across. INK’s encourages ordinary man to work hard and ensure that you have money on you always in order to earn respect from others.
While speaking to her, INK informed us that she derived her inspiration from an army truck driver who was driving recklessly along Wandegeya road. Her song writer Ray Signature then started on a traditional song from this inspiration.
The song was produced at Sikia records of Sylvestre Kyagulanyi and mastered at Paddy man’s audio one.
According to INK, the video of the song that was shot as a fusion of both traditional and urban styles will be out very soon.
