Singer Geosteady has opened up about his life after completing rehabilitation, offering a reflection on his journey to recovery from drug addiction and the changes he has made to stay focused and sober.
Speaking about his experience, Geosteady emphasized the dangers of idleness for individuals recovering from addiction. He noted that having too much free time can easily lead the mind back to old habits, increasing the chances of relapse.
“To overcome addiction, you have to surround yourself with something and keep a busy schedule. The more idle you are, the more your mind drives you back to your habit,” Geosteady shared.
The singer also revealed that restructuring his social environment played a crucial role in his healing process. According to Geosteady, being intentional about the people around him helped him regain control of his life and stay committed to positive change.
“Sometimes you have to change the circles you associate with. Find people who impact your life, add value, and whom you respect. I reshuffled my circle—I didn’t completely cut them off, but I limited communication,” he explained.
