Azam Uganda Premier League defending champions (AUPL), Vipers Sports Club have unveiled George ‘Best’ Nsimbe as one of their coaches.
Nsimbe has abandoned a relegation struggling side and league debutants, The Saints, who he joined shortly after the start of this season (September 25th, 2015) having part ways with Tanzanian side Azam Football Club in August 2015.
The former KCCA FC head coach was unveiled by the club proprietor and former FUFA president Lawrence Mulindwa at a ceremony during which they showcased their home and away jerseys (Red and White shirts with Black Shorts respectively).
Speaking at the unveiling ceremony, Mulindwa said, “we have just beefed up our technical staff and hopefully, they will work effectively together for the good of the team.”
“Besides, we always have a void left by coach Golola when he has to attend to the school team and most often, we lose matches in that period,” he added.
The iconic regional coach joins Vipers who are preparing to faceoff with Nigerian side, Enyimba Stars in the preliminary round of the continental CAF Champions League.
The two sides will face off on Friday February 12th at Nakivubo Stadium with entry charges set for 5,000/= and 10,000/= for ordinary and VIP respectively.
Nsimbe joins the list of three other coaches at the club who include Richard Wasswa, Edward Golola and Kiggundu Stephen Billy, the goalkeeping coach.
