Singer-cum-legislator, Geoffrey Lutaaya delivered an unforgettable musical experience at his ‘The Love Memories’ concert, held at the Sheraton Kampala Hotel Gardens on Valentine’s Day.
Lutaaya didn’t need curtain raisers to get started. Joined by Da Nu Eagles band, he took to the stage at 8:30pm, dressed in white attire, exciting the audience. The crowd cheered loudly in anticipation of what the night had in stock for them.
He took fans through his collection of hits, keeping the crowd entertained and engaged throughout the opening session. He opened the concert with his classic, ‘Abamanyi Omukwano Mwebale,’ and went on to perform 40 songs throughout the night.
His second session featured songs like Mama Sandra, Oli Miss, Akyali Mboko, Nice & Lovely, and many more. This segment stood out for many, as Lutaaya was joined by his wife- singer Irene Namatovu. The couple, dressed in matching red outfits, created a captivating visual, sending the audience into a frenzy.
Lutaaya was supported by a large cast of performers, including fellow legislator Hillary Kiyaga, aka Dr. Hilderman (Mawokota North MP), Eddy Yawe, Nina Roz, Jovan Luzinda, Diana Nalubega, Messach Seemakula, and others.
However, Lutaaya dominated the stage, performing for most of the show. He opened and closed the event, while the supporting artists entertained the audience during the breaks between his main sessions.
The concert was powered by I&M Bank. Annette Nakiyaga, Head of Marketing and Corporate Communications at I&M Bank, explained that their partnership with Geoffrey Lutaaya for his concert stems from a desire to connect with their customers, including those running SMEs, who appreciate the local/traditional genre of music, while creating a memorable experience for them.
The Love Memories’ concert ended after midnight, and attendees went home with unforgettable memories of one-of-a-kind Valentine’s Day celebrations.
