De Nu Eagle’s boss, Geoffrey Lutaaya had a massive concert at Club Obligato last Friday.
The singer who was accompanied by his wife and fellow band singers managed to pocket millions from the show, thanks to his loving and supporting fans.
Lutaaya managed to get so much money by choosing a venue himself, promoting the show himself thus becoming the centre of the show.
We are told that Lutaaya who refused to sell his show to any promoter in town despite several bids, put his own people at the gates to collect money, count it and hand it over to him in millions after the show.
Besides this, Lutaaya also made a lot of money off stage as rich city tycoons made their way to the stage during performance breaks and showered the singer with lots of cash. Once such people gave the singer 500,000shs as money to fuel his car back home. Another, a lady, signed a cheque live on stage for the singer to deposit and withdraw money as soon as the show was done.
Unlike many musicians who use promoters and end up with peanuts when the show is successful, this strategy worked very well for Lutaaya giving him millions at his Ndi Yadde Yadeko concert.
