Earlier on 1st March a press conference was held at Haruna Mall Ntinda about a new campaign known as the face of mental health, this campaign intends to create mental health awareness and fright stigma through beauty, fashion, art, music and photography.

The campaign intends to appoint a beautiful young lady who is going to create this awareness and spread the gospel. Different dignitaries including Sophie Gombya who was once an UMA president, Irene kusiima a gospel artist and a representative from OPERATION WEALTH CREATION KABALEEGA ENOCK.
The campaign has created waves on different tv stations since it talked about giving rehabilitation to artists who are battling drug abuse “this song Chai wenjaye spreads a very bad message of drug abuse to the youths” Sophie Gombya stated this has caused so much controversy among artists.

However, among the invited guests was Mr Kabaleega a representative for Gen Salim Saleh who is famous for giving support to creative arts “The Government has given you security, and General Saleh is ready to give you support since we have no proper channel to help the mental health sector as the country, it’s affecting our economy, this is a great cause” Kabaleega stated. The country now eargerly awaits for the launch and unveiling of the face of mental health.
