Mali group of companies CEO Frank Gashumba has warned the population census officials in his area against coming to his home in the name of counting him and his family. Bitter Gashumba showed his frustration after the census coordinator Francis Mashate warned yesterday that whoever dogded the activity will face a fine of 600,000UGX or/and a jail term.
A frustrated Gashumba on his facebook timeline posted: “…Mbu Government will arrest people who wont present themselves for Population Census Counting.Trust me, no one will count me and my family and am ready to be arrested. After counting me what happens, even if this regime lasted for the next 1000 years, it will never change the lives of people of Uganda. It’s another project for these Vampires to put up Apartments and hostels for their Kidz not to serve we Ugandans. If the Pope ordered for the Catholics in Uganda to be counted, i would be the first to be counted because i was born in a missionary hospital, Villa Maria Hospital and 80% of the schools I attended are Catholic Schools.”
According to Gashumba he has instructed his gateman not to open for anyone who visits in the name of conducting a census. “I left home at 10:30am today,I was waiting for anyone to come aske me to be counted,” he said this morning.
Gashumba is known for his hate for the current ruling party which he calls corrupt and useless. Whether he gets counted or not we shall keep you posted as the census goes on for the next ten days.
