Musician Jose Chameleone was up in arms against his long time friend and Cayenne bar Marketing boss, Gareth Onyango, after a leaked WhatsApp conversation in a group called ‘Flames’ leaked to the public.
In the group, Gareth Onyango copied a status update that he had seen on Facebook posted by a one Ray Supasta who for a long time has been stalking singer Winnie Nwagi.
The statement read thus; “Sweet banana song by Chamilli sounds rotten to the ears. ono guy yagwaamu naye akyatwesibyeko. Dude lost his musical touch bambi mbu naye aleese concert, Malya nsimbi.”
This upset Chameleone so much so that he wrote a long statement directed at Gareth and all those who diss his music.
To clear the air, we called Gareth and he told us that Chameleone is his friend and he knows he would never say things like that about his music. “It was just a post I copied and shared in the group like everyone does. Now people thought these were my words and made Chameleone turn against me. We have chatted about it but we have not yet met,” the organizer of A Night in the Emirates due January 13th at Cayenne Bukoto told us.
