Duke Gareth Onyango will wed Buganda Kingdom’s Princess Victoria Nkinzi in November 2020.

According to our snoops, Buganda is geared up for the next big royal wedding as they welcome a munamawanga into the Kingdom.

According to our sources, before the engagement, Gareth Onyango met the Kabaka at his Banda palace where he was asked to confirm whether he was indeed in love with the Princess. A shivering Gareth looked the King in the eyes and confirmed that he had thought through his decision and was sure about this journey. The Kabaka then gave his full endorsement to the wedding.

A committee of over 200 Buganda royalists has been assembled to coordinate this wedding. As per tradition, the Kwanjula will not go down he normal way as all others happen.

Instead it will be organised as an initiation ceremony of sorts as a mukoopi gets elevated to a Duke status. This initiation will happen in October.

In November, the wedding will takeplace at Namirembe Cathedral and the Kabaka will be in attendance to send off his daughter.

We’ve also been told King Mswati has been invited as one of the guests. The Kingdom is currently courting Prince Harry and Meghan to be the guests of honour given their new life setting.

The wedding is estimated to cost UGX 2.8 billion according to the budget shared with our team.
