game of thrones

Hey ya thronies: Winter is coming! Game of Thrones S1 – 5 is coming to M-Net Edge with a double bill every weekday from Monday 18 May to Friday 19 June.

Game of Thrones S1 debuts on Monday 18 May from 23:00 on M-Net Edge. It will also be available on DStv Now and on Catch Up on your Explora.

A little backstory, GoT is a fantasy that centres on the brutal battle for the control of the Iron Throne by the seven kingdom of Westeros. But GoT is more than just a fantasy, it’s a mixture of several genres like romance, drama, violence that blend beautifully to create an irresistible plotline.

Here, you shall meet the easily trusting Starks of Winterfell, the proud Lannisters of Casterly Rock and several other noble houses that are involved in this ruthless power play where men trust only in the sharpness of their swords.

If you’ve never watched GoT, this is your chance to jump onto the bandwagon and see for yourself why it has received immense critical acclaim.

But for those who have watched it, the first three seasons, it’s only fair that we pay homage to this global hit by going back to what lured you into GoT in the first place.

Joseph Sabiti

By Our Reporter

NBS TV’s star political journalist, Joseph Sabiiti over the weekend bade farewell to his colleagues at Next Media Services shortly after hosting his last “Big Talk” edition on NXT Radio.

The charismatic reporter, whose career highlight will arguably be his coverage of the alleged stone-shooting of President Museveni’s convoy by Bobi Wine and “People Power” loyalists, sent a short and precise good-bye message to all Next Media Services staff through their WhatsApp platform.

“Good afternoon, I will be taking a break from active Journalism for a while,” read Sabiiti’s WhatsApp message to fellow staff. “Thank you for the amazing four years at Media Plaza, it has been every inch worth it and Next Media will always remain home,” he added.

Sabiiti will now assume the position of Communications Officer at Action Aid Uganda.

Before NBS TV, Sabiiti worked with the now-defunct WBS TV.

Many notable figures and colleagues have since come out on Twitter to wish Sabiiti the best for the future;

Hon. Frank Tumwebaze: Congratulations @sabitijoseph on your new Job. Advancement in career is a dream a very progressive mind should work and aspire for. All the best!

Mujuni Raymond: It was a great honour to work with you. The stories we broke, speaking truth to power, informing audiences and dignifying the profession. Thank you for countless hours of advice and sacrifice. Write us a book.

Shaban Bantariza: Ohh! I missed your Last Talk Show?! Heading for Information Management at some Organization? Blessed Next Phase of your Journey bro!! Keep available and in touch!

Sheila Nduhukire: Thank you for sharing your brilliance with us; in the field and on our screens. Break a leg! @sabitijoseph

It awaits to be seen how Next Media Services will cover the gap left behind by clearly one of their best creations yet.
