Well, news on our desks indicates that former Big Brother Africa housemate, Gaetano Kagwa, who now does the morning show on Urban TV called Urban Today, has landed a new TV deal with DSTV Africa. And no, he is not going back to the house.

Mr P, as he was popularly referred to after leaving the Big Brother house because he’s well endowed, is set to have a great month of December. This is because in mid-December, his latest series, Beneath the lies will premiere on Urban TV as he starts a new gig at Maisha Magic.

Kagwa has been unveiled as one of the hosts of ‘Beat the Challenge’ reality TV show that will air on M-Net’s new proudly East African general entertainment channel, Maisha Magic. He will host the show with a Tanzanian artiste called Jokate Mwegelo. The show starts airing on 13th December at 8:30pm.

Ugandans can audition for Gaetano’s new show on 22nd November at Silver Springs Hotel Kampala at 9am.

Beat The Challenge features a family of four i.e. Father, Mother and their two children aged between 12 to 17 years. The families contest in challenges that are physical in nature and each strives to outdo the other to emerge the ultimate winner of a family car. The families are picked from the three East African countries i.e. Kenya, Uganda and Tanzania and they battle it out to be the pride of their nation. The winning family will drive away a brand new car alongside other cash prizes.

To be eligible to participate in the game show, one must be a permanent resident of East Africa and must be within a family set up of four including both parents and two children aged between 12 to 17 years. Beat the Challenge is the second major reality TV show set to debut on Maisha Magic this coming December after Tujuane Plus, a dating show.
