It was a fun and exciting evening as the Tusker Lite Friday Night Lights returned from the festive season break on Friday at Panamera Bar.
Now in its 8th edition, the off-season event which merges entertainment and basketball saw fans and players walk away with several goodies. While players were rewarded after each game, the fans had to participate in different exciting challenges like 3-point shoot outs to be rewarded.
The games tipped off with Team Zama and Team Fahmy facing off first in a 3-on-3 format with each team compromising of a professional player, and two fans(one of them being a lady). Team Fahmy won the game 21-15 but both sides reported to the awarding podium for goodies that included Shs100,000 each and buckets of Tusker Lite beer. This was the case for all the eight games played.
Other games played included; Team Madol 17-11 Team Wazee, Team Flirsh 10-17 Team Kikiri, Team Ikong 15-12 Team Josh,Team Fahmy 18-14 Team Kikiri, Team Ikong 17-11 Team Madol, Team Enabu 17-16 Team Fahmy and Team Zama 7-12 Team Flirsh.
After each game, followed a fans challenge, much to the delight of the crowd. Some of the challenges included 3-point shoot out, spin-and-shoot and a backward shoot. Through the several challenges on the night, fans won; headsets, t-shirts and bibs among other things.
The evening was crowned with a performance from music duo, Hit Nature of the ‘Twazikoze Zaweze’ fame.
