The Federation of Uganda Football Association (FUFA) has set new terms and conditions for all clubs in Uganda Premier League which they must fulfill if they are to play in the top flight next season that kicks off in mid-August, 2015.

Speaking on behalf of the local football governing body was the federation President, Eng. Moses Magogo while appearing on 87.5 Star FM in a late night sports talk show on Thursday.

1. First and foremost, all clubs must register with the federation and attain a Certificate of Registration.

2. Secondly, all clubs must attain a FUFA License

3. All top flight clubs (Uganda Premier League teams) must be coached by a tutor with a CAF B class coaching license and nothing less.

4. All clubs must have a junior team of U-17 that will be playing in the FUFA Junior league which currently has 13 teams with only three from the top flight according to the FUFA President. “SC Villa Jogoo young, KCCA and Maroons are the only UPL clubs with junior teams”, the president noted.

5. All clubs must have a well-qualified CEO who will be running the club on a daily basis and should be a full-time employee.

Failure to fulfill the new terms and conditions, a club shall not be eligible to play in top flight even if they remained or were promoted to the top flight.
