Federation of Uganda Football Associations (FUFA) has made significant changes in its sports activities as far as the game of football and the local leagues are concerned. Uganda’s football governing body came out early last month and announced that the local leagues i.e. the FUFA Super League and the Big League were to kick off on the 22nd and 28th of August 2014 respectively.
However this has been changed by the competitions department at FUFA as it went ahead to set new dates for the kick-off of the 2014-2015 season. Ali Mwebe, the FUFA Competitions chairman said yesterday that; “The FUFA super league kick off has been shifted to September 2nd from the earlier set date of August 22nd and the FUFA Big league will now kick off on 8th September not 28th August 2014 as earlier planned. However the rest of the calendar remains unchanged.”
The opening fixtures have remained the same but any new changes made shall be communicated by the governing body.
The earlier set opening fixtures of the FUFA Super League:
URA Vs Rwenshama (Lugazi)
Vipers Vs Entebbe (Buikwe)
Soana FC Vs Lweza FC (kavumba)
BUL Vs Bright Stars (Kakindu)
SC Villa Vs SCVU (Nakivubo)
Kira Young Vs Sadolin (Namboole)
Express Vs Police (Wankulukuku)
