Upon receiving sad news that KCCA players had been involved in an accident during their road trip to Western Uganda (Ntungamo) for the Uganda Cup final that is due Saturday, FUFA president Engineer Moses Magogo has sent out his consoling message to the team.
“It is not good news for our football. We are sympathetic with what has happened to KCC FC. Every team would want to have its best players available for a high profile match like the Uganda Cup final. We pray that they recover soon,” Magogo told the federation’s official website.
It should be noted that team was involved in the accident at Nekongolero, approximately 30kms to Mbarara Town on their way to Western Uganda.
According to David Tamale, the Kampala Capital City Authority Football Club secretary, two players Savio Kabugo and Joseph Ochaya, former KCCA star and Uganda Cranes striker David Obua and Lumala Adrian, a support staff at the club were traveling in the Pick-up car that got involved in an accident.
