Ahead of Uganda Cranes’ double clash with Burkina Faso in the 2017 African Cup of Nations qualifier, FUFA has embarked on a campaign to lure fans to Namboole stadium, come 29th March 2016. The match will come just three days after the two sides meet in Ouagadougou for the first leg.
In this campaign, the local football governing body will offer tickets on a discount to students and those buying in bulk in a bid to attract as many buys as possible.
“Football is the number one sport in Uganda. The offers on the market for this match will be enticing for all the fans who will head to Namboole on 29th March. The fans will feel our presence as we shall be taking our ticket sales services closer to them,” Esther Musoke, the FUFA Marketing Director is quoted on the federation’s website.
The campaign will see FUFA head into a pilot project to sell the tickets to the fans in the field.
Here is the detailed offer by FUFA on market;
• 5,000 discounted tickets each to students sold at UG 15,000 shs for limited days
• Students discounted tickets with a pilot project at Makerere University and MUBS-Nakawa.
• Discounted UG 50,000shs tickets for Corporate Companies purchasing in bulk. A group of 10 people can purchase the above category at UG 400,000/.
• For every purchase of the 120,000/- VIP ticket, comes along with an original Uganda Cranes home replica red jersey.
• Direct delivery of tickets at an extra charge of UG 5,000/- on top of the ticket price to the purchasing individual and groups whose work schedules or for any other reason can’t get to the selling points. A dedicated line has been created for this exercise.
• Prizes; MBs, airtime, Uganda Cranes branded materials will also be won by those purchasing tickets for the match.
