The Federation of Uganda Football Associations (FUFA) has offered match tickets for the 2017 Africa Cup of Nations Qualifiers’ tie between Uganda and Comoros on an 18% (UGX. 4,500) discount.
The discount, however, has been offered on only the ordinary tickets and it will be available for the first 2,600 fans between Monday 1st August to Wednesday 10th August 2016 at FUFA house in Mengo, Kampala. “The offer will give the fans an opportunity to purchase the tickets early. The same ticket will be used by fans to watch the international friendly match between Uganda Cranes and Kenya,” Ahmed Hussein, the FUFA communications manager is quoted on the federation’s website.
Uganda will face off with the Harambe Stars on 30th August 2016 in a build-up match ahead of an eagerly awaited duel against Comoros that is slated for 3rd September as the Cranes look to qualify for AFCON for the first time in nearly four decades.
It should be noted that the local football governing body hiked the ticket prices from the usual 20,000 for ordinary, 50,000 for VIP Blue seats and the classy 120,000 for the VVIP to 25,000, 60,000 and 150,000 respectively ahead of the big clash.
