FUFA finance director, Decolas Kizza has revealed that the local football governing body needs 1.5 billion shillings to prepare for Uganda Cranes’ fixtures against Burkina Faso in the 2017 AFCON Qualifiers.
According to Kizza, the money is to cater for transport requirements and players’ allowances during the two legged fixture.
“We need Ugx 1.5 billion for preparations of the matches home and away against Burkina Faso. This includes the money meant for the air tickets of the players who play professionally, chartered flight costs and player allowances,” Kizza is quoted on federation’s website.
Uganda Cranes will play 2013 AFCON losing finalists, Burkina Faso in the Group D 2017 AFCON qualifiers later this month. The two sides will meet twice within four days with Uganda traveling to Ouagadougou first and then return to Kampala for a reverse fixture at Namboole Stadium.
