The Federation of Uganda Football Association (FUFA) has finally yielded some fruits in its efforts to find sponsors for the game of football in Uganda.
The development follows a mega 300million Uganda shillings boost that FUFA received from Bidco Uganda under their big brand of White Star Magic Soap. The deal was offered as a three year sponsorship package for the national team, the Uganda Cranes.
“Associating with FUFA and Uganda Cranes is a deal worthwhile especially as we are on a campaign for developing football in Kalangala region,” BIDCO General Manager, Surrajit Ghosh said during the press briefing at Serena Hotel, Kampala.
A very excited FUFA president Engineer Moses Magogo was also present to witness the deal along with others officials from federation including the CEO Edgar Watson.
“We are committed towards bringing more resources to the game as well as widening the resource base. I once again thank the FUFA Marketing department and committee for securing this package as we look forward to the football development agenda in line with the set targets by the federation including Cameroon 2019,” reads Magogo’s statement on the federation’s website.
