Federation of Uganda Football Association (FUFA) president, Eng. Moses Magogo has congratulated local clubs upon their weekend continental victories. He, however, noted that the job is not yet finished.

“Exciting moments of our game. Struggling for finances at country and club level but posting interesting sporting results. Congratulations Vipers SC and SC Villa. Only half job done. It is Our Game, It is Our Country,” Magogo posted on social media.

On Friday, February 12th, Azam Uganda Premier League defending champions Vipers Sports Club pipped Nigerian side Enyimba FC 1-0 at Nakivubo Stadium in the preliminary round of the CAF Champions League. Uganda Cranes striker Erisa Ssekisambu scored the only goal of the game.

On Saturday, February 13th, Uganda Cup reigning champions Sports Club Villa edged Sudanese side Al Khartoum 1-0 during their away trip to Sudan in the CAF Confederations Cup. Under-23 national team midfielder Engineer Tadeo Lwanga scored for the visitors.
