Frank Gashumba has come out to clear the air about the rumours surrounding his namesake, Frank Walusimbi. The NTV Luganda News anchor and Tuwaye host, has been rumoured to be on his way out of NTV citing irreconcilable differences at the Serena based TV station.
However, his namesake and regular guest on the Tuwaye talk show, has denied the rumours. He posted on Facebook criticising Newspapers for publishing rumours they find making rounds online without establishing the truth before publication.
“Every thing is dead in this country, when i see what Ugandans post on the social media, what the so called Newspapers write about thats when you can realize we have like 1000 years to go. I first saw it online and now its in today’s Newspapers that someone i respect, someone i think has a better future ahead of him, a man that has built his own brand, a man that has interviewed me more than five times that he is quitting NTV, the Frank Walusimbi i know cant resign from NTV and join an upcoming TV station unless he is appointed as the Managing Director of a new TV Station.
It has been said on many radio stations too, take it from me Frank is not leaving NTV and kindly Ugandans dont believe each and everything you read online or these Newspapers you see in Uganda. The only accurate thing in Uganda’s Newspapers is the date of the day and btw sometimes they write wrong dates.
Yes data is cheap but knowledge is costly, thats why every fly is on social media posting nonsense and falsehoods. Frank Walusimbi is yet to have the final say. His former colleagues, Solomon Serwanya, Rukh Shana joined Kiira road based NBS TV.”
