Frank Gashumba has thanked Ugandans for showing love and support to her adopted daughter Aisha Nabukeera in the Miss Uganda pageant. Aisha Nabukeera managed to make it to the top 10 finalists out of 21 contestants but lost the coveted Miss Uganda crown to Nakiyaga Zahara Muhammed.
However, her efforts were not in vain as she was awarded Miss Rising Star. Here’s what Frank Gashumba had to say:
“Thank you. Thank you, my friends and Aisha’s friends. Thank you for supporting and encouraging Aisha.
My friends, we have come to the end of a long journey. The judges have spoken and they have spoken clearly. Yesterday night I had the honour to congratulate Miss Zahara Mohammad, the new Miss Uganda 2015-2016.
I’ave always believed that Uganda offers opportunities to all of us but it’s upon us to discover who we are. I urge all Ugandans who supported Aisha not to just only congratulate Zahara but to offer her our goodwill and all the support she needs.
Our own Aisha Nabukeera was among the Top 10 Finalists and she was awarded Miss Rising Star.
This is something historical in her life and its of significance to her background and to her future. Thank You Miss Uganda Organisers, Thank You Judges, Thank You to those that voted for Aisha and Thank You to those that attended the show Live.
Thank You, God Bless You and May God Bless The Republic Of Uganda”
