Political activist and motivational speaker Frank Gashumba has said that peace is the most important thing in life.
He made the remarks while explaining why he chose to marry his fiancée, Mutoni Patience Malaika, instead of selecting from his well-known group of wealthy and famous female friends.
“Peace is the most important thing. It’s useless to have a fancy and decorated house but without peace in it. Patience gives me peace,” Gashumba stated.
Gashumba made the comments shortly after being introduced by Patience to her family in a traditional and glamorous ceremony held on Thursday in Sembabule district.
The event was attended by close friends, family members, and a few dignitaries.
Gashumba’s remarks have drawn praise from many social media users, with some calling his choice wise and mature.
The couple’s relationship has been kept mostly private until the introduction ceremony, which now confirms their serious commitment.
The ceremony marked a new chapter in Gashumba’s life, as he continues to inspire many Ugandans not just through his political commentary but also with his personal choices.
