Renowned Ugandan motivational speaker and political activist Frank Gashumba has expressed strong opinions against Valentine’s Day, calling it a day for “useless people.”

Speaking on a radio show on Friday, Gashumba questioned why people choose to show love only on February 14 instead of every day.

“For a person who loves their partner, why do you choose to love someone just on a special day like this?” he asked.

His remarks have sparked mixed reactions, with some agreeing that love should be expressed daily, while others believe Valentine’s Day is a special occasion to celebrate relationships.

Valentine’s Day remains one of the most celebrated events worldwide, with couples exchanging gifts and spending quality time together.

However, critics like Gashumba argue that true love should not be limited to one day.
