Motivational speaker and political activist Frank Gashumba visited Mengo today to formally apologize to the Katikkiro (Prime Minister) of the Kingdom of Buganda, Charles Peter Mayiga, and the Buganda Kingdom for his long-standing criticism and remarks.
For many years, Gashumba had been one of the most vocal critics of Charles Peter Mayiga and the Buganda Kingdom as a whole.
His comments had often stirred controversy, leading to tension between him and the kingdom’s leadership.
However, on Monday, 07 October 2024, Gashumba expressed his remorse.
In his visit to Mengo, he extended a heartfelt apology to the Katikkiro and the Buganda Kingdom, acknowledging the impact of his words over the years.
This gesture marks a significant shift in Gashumba’s approach, as he seeks to make amends with the Buganda leadership.
The meeting with Katikkiro Mayiga is seen as a step toward reconciliation and unity between Gashumba and the Buganda Kingdom.
