Buganda road court has today convicted former SC Villa manager, Chris Mubiru of sodomy. Mubiru committed the offence in December 2009 on Emmanuel Nyazi, whom he drugged before the crime.
Confident Mubiru appeared before Buganda road court today at 9am and it was ruled that he was guilty of the crimes put against him, however the judge could not set the punishment due to the absence of the victim.
According to the judge, punishment for Mubiru could not be passed on grounds that the victim was not present in court and therefore the case was pushed to 18th of this month when she will give him the punishment he deserves.
Lawyers of Chris Mubiru were pleading with the judge that their client should be given a minimum punishment of at least community service or money compensation something that annoyed the members of the victim’s family saying that what Mubiru did will traumatize the victim for life.
