Former Miss Uganda Sylvia Namutebi, who recently welcomed a bouncing baby boy, has shared her breastfeeding experience. The first time mother has revealed that it is a painful experience and she almost gave up on breastfeeding altogether. She posted:
“Breast feeding- one of the hardest things I’ve ever had to do! hoi…. I thought it was easy I was like am going to breast feed baby A for 2years why not go all the way… omg, I almost gave up after one week of trying! its was so danm painful I was ready to give it up! good thing my sis in law had got me an electronic breast pump on day 5 i told Aly to assemble it and give it to me immediately which he did, it actually helped me ease into breastfeeding slowly and less painfully, am now getting the hang of it as baby and I continue to bond. but I know I’ll not be doing it for 2yrs, what was I thinking.”
