Spanish club Real Sociedad says it has hired former Manchester United manager David Moyes as its new coach, giving the Scotsman a chance to revive his career after his failed stint at Old Trafford.
Sociedad said on its website today that Moyes signed a deal to coach the club until June 30, 2016.
It is his first coaching job since being fired by United last season after less than a year in charge, having succeeded Alex Ferguson after his retirement.
He took the United job after spending 11 years at Everton, where he established a reputation as one of the top British managers.
The San Sebastian-based Real Sociedad is 15th in the 20-team Spanish league.
