Geofrey Massa

Former Uganda Cranes striker Geofrey Massa has been caught on the wrong side of the law.

According to a report by NTV Uganda, Massa had a run-in with police on Wednesday evening that ended in him being shot at. It is said that Police found his car parked by the road side late in the night in Bweyogerere, but when they asked him to open his door, he refused and sped off. In the process he knocked a police bike, which prompted the officers to shoot at his car.

The passenger in the car, a young woman identified as Josephine Maliza, is said to have been shot during the incident, while Massa who was the driver sustained minor injuries after allegedly hitting his head on the windscreen as he panicked to stop. They are said to be both currently admitted in hospital.

We will keep you posted.
