Sharon O wears a coat of many colors. From singing in her Obsession days, to Big Brother Africa and now airs on DSTV in her new series Sanyu Drama series. Sharon O has featured in the latest movie Destiny where she acts as Doctor Patricia.
In Sanyu Drama series, she plays the role of Kirabo, a girl from a rich family engaged to Oscar Kirunda (Abbey Mukiibi). Sanyu is a Ugandan drama television series. It is Mathew and Eleanor Nabwiso`s product under their Nabwiso Films which premieres on DStv Uganda’s Pearl Magic Prime. Sharon O, represented Uganda during the sixth season of the Big Brother show where she finished in fifth place on Day 91 after receiving 1/15 votes to win.
In Destiny, Sharon O is stars as doctor Patricia, a role she approaches with confidence and excels at it so well. Sharon O’s destiny is new on TV and is being produced by Ronnie Mulindwa.
Sharon O is currently and deliberately aiming higher with both education and career. While she features in the much sought after Sanyu drama series, she is also excelling at Victoria University where she is persuing her degree in tourism and business studies.
Background
Sharon O was born Sharon Salmon Nalukenge in Kampala, Uganda. She is the second born of six children. She attended Kitante Primary School and Lohana Academy for primary school before joining Taibah High School and Aga Khan High School for higher education. Sharon O recently graduated with a bachelor’s degree in Tourism from Victoria University.
Career
Sharon O’s humble beginnings were with her teenage singing group, the Obsessions which took East Africa by storm. The Obsessions won nominations and accolades across East Africa. The Obsessions much known for their hit ‘Jangu Jangu’ won regional awards like the Best Group in the KISSIMA Awards and were crowned at the PAM Awards as the Best Singing Group.
Sharon O is the C.E.O of Sharon O & Friends Ltd Company which deals in transport services and real estate. Previously, Sharon O ventured into bar business with her Blue Ice Bar which was located in Naalya that was once the talk of town.
Sharon O confidently boasts of a successful career in acting, singing, and entrepreneurship.
